Dear Sir/Madam,

I inaugurated this website through my personal experience as a mother.

When I Immigrated to New Zealand, my husband remained in Japan on business. I was working full time as well as taking care of my small children who were 5 & 2 years old at the time. I found it impossible to manage everything successfully without the help of an au pair.

However, I found the process of employing an au pair quite difficult. In order to find the right au pair, it was necessary to start looking at least 3 – 4 months in advance.

Because of my experience, I believe that there would be other families that have similar difficulties in finding an au pair. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was a way to find an au pair with ease, quickly, effectively and reliably for a reasonable cost? The opportunity then came to create this website.

I have had the privilege and pleasure of living with 7 au pairs in total. They have all been Japanese nationals with a good level of English. All of the au pairs had an extremely good understanding of the duties and responsibilities involved with taking care of children. They were also happy to help out with household duties, when required. I found the co-habitation very comfortable and enjoyable.

I would love to help other Kiwi families get to know the benefits and advantages of having a Japanese au pair to help in the home. It is also my wish that Japanese young people have the opportunity to enjoy life with a kiwi family and experience all that New Zealand has to offer.
